Top vBlog Voting: Powered by Community

2014_Award-Banner_Top-50-1024x1024-e1396010480387Every year there is a really great process where the community gets to give a shout out to bloggers through the annual Top vBlog voting. I can’t say how much it matters that this is done for a reason that you may be surprised by.

I’ve been lucky to be on the voting list in 2013 as a new entrant, and I was incredibly honored to be voted to 49th overall last year thanks to the support of every one of my friends in this amazing community.

The real honor comes in what goes into this process. Not just the blogging, but all that supports the voting process. Eric Siebert has tirelessly put his time into this for a number of years, and that needs some serious attention for the work Eric has done. This year the voting is hosted by our friends at Infinio, and again this shows the unending support of great community members.

Every Vote Counts

I honestly love being among his great top group of community contributors. This has given me many opportunities such as building the Virtual Design Master event series, and most recently it gave me the chance to take on an amazing role at Turbonomic.

Voting is easy, and can be done here.

I would greatly appreciate your vote, but more importantly, I would love to highlight everyone on the list. It is difficult to mention names without feeling like I may be missing someone.

What I encourage you to do is to take a look at some of the amazing vDM community like those who were a part of the #vDM30in30 in late 2014. I’m humbled to have been able to help and watch our community grow, and strengthen.

2014 and the start of 2015 has seen incredible personal and professional growth for me. I’d be remiss if I didn’t note how much has been a result of what my friends, peers, readers, and supporters from all over the world. Being a blogger has opened up doors, and introduced me to amazing people who are part of my life in many ways.

Thank you for all you do. I truly do feel that I am powered by community. Let’s do something amazing together and show how much this all matters.

Plus, I’d love to help represent Canada in the top 50 again this year!
